Oh and how can I forget about my bag/ clutch. Love-this-bag! I don't wear it enough. I thrifted this black croc-style gold trimmed bag/clutch from a small thrift store in South Holland. This bag can be worn with the long black strap or detach the strap and wear as a clutch. Again, love-this-bag!!!
This look makes me want to say, Heeyyy! This was a simple look thrown together at the last minute of course, for a friends birthday party. The black cardigan is from Norstrom's Rack. I bought it years ago on sale for like $12 bucks! I love this cardigan because the shoulders are slightly lifted and the buttons are black rhinestones. Classic! I thrifted the turquoise silk Bloomington top from a local thrift shop. This top is so comfy and easy to wear, it's hard not to slip it on everyday! Especially in the summer. I love to throw on this sleeveless top with a pair of ripped jean shorts and cute wedges then I'm good to go! The black acid wash jeans I've had for so long I don't even remember where I got them. And of course I had to top it all off with the Jays! Jordan's are really good to your feet. I see why these are the only sneakers my husband will wear. I call this look "The Hood meets Classy." I feel from the top it's classic but as you move on down it starts to get urban. But the bun ties it all together with its high poised and on trend look.
I pulled this look together at the last minute as I was running late for church (what's new? Hehehe). The neon yellow Banana Republic cardigan was thrifted awhile ago from a local Unique. The black lose fit top I bought from Gap on sale for $5 or $7 (I bought them in white and gray as well. They are very comfy and a easy casual wear.). The gray skirt was also thrifted but I forget from what store. ( I've had this thing for a long time!) The purple ankle boots are ancient yet comfy (the reason I still own them). They also pair well with my purple mixed print scarf. I was actually surprised this outfit came out so cute. But who I'm I kidding I do this in my sleep! No, seriously I do. I dream in style! It's my beautiful nightmare :). The earrings are a sample from my jewelry to come this summer! The jewelry pieces are all about being bold, sexy, and fun.
This week I have been a bad girl and have not made a post! Shame on me! But I'm back now! :) (Miss me much? I've missed you!) Well let's just pick up from the other night. I went to the Rihanna concert on Friday evening and it was AMAZING!!! Even though she was a lil over 2 hours late!!! Her performance was well worth the wait. No doubt!!!
So for my attire, I chose to go sexy, casual, cool. I just wanted to be comfortable and hot so that I could jamm all night with my girl RiRi! I totally loved my fabulous vintage pieces I wore. Every item was thrifted minus the tights (I got the tights on sale for like less than $5 at Target!). The inspired Dr. Martens I thrifted months ago at a Unique in Chicago. I ripped and damaged a pair of thrifted Levi's jeans back in the summer. I'm so happy the weather is warming up to bring them back out! My top is actually a thrifted leather and cotton short bodysuit. I rolled up the black cotton shorts to hide under my denim shorts. The bra cups and straps of the bodysuit is leather. It is so sexy and hot! I just love it! The aqua jacket I just thrifted from Goodwill last weekend. The jacket has gold studs on it and it is a light suede. The neon yellow piece underneath is a thrifted Banana Republic cardigan. I had it on underneath initially to keep warm but I loved the color block effect it created with the aqua color jacket. My jewelry are new sample pieces I will be selling this summer!!! Stay tuned :) More pics and blog post coming this week! Remember yes, you too can look fabulous shopping at the thrift store! Smooches
