Mary Church Terrell is noted as the first Black American women to graduate from college. She had a passion for education and was involved in the women's and civil rights movement. She graduated with a bachelors in 1884 and 1888 she received her masters in education. Mary Church Terrell was a phenomenal woman of her time. Although she is not a style icon.
