The wait is over! House of Versace will air on Lifetime tonight. I am in desperate need to read the book the t.v. movie is based on. Although I heard Donatella Versace public rep. tell reporters the made for t.v. movie is fictional. The movie was based on the book, House of Versace: The Untold Story of Genius, Murder, and Survival. The book itself is based on interviews and stories from family, friends and foe. I don't know about you but this is a must see for me. Get your DVR ready! Peace OUT...

Pictures courtesy of Instagram. These are not my photos. Moving on...Here are a few looks for men fall fashion that I adore. Enjoy... This look is perfection. Cool, calm, and sophisticated! The blazer, gloves and suede shoes set the tone for this gentlemen look. I'm in love with the bow ties and boots. The gent in the sunglasses knows he is too cool for school! Yes gents you can mix prints too! I love a man that's not afraid of a little fashion risk. Well done Sir, well done! This oxford styled boot is amazing! The elegant yet rugged look is well designed. A must have for this fall season. The opening episode of Scandal season 3 was AMAZE-balls! Not only was the storyline captivating but Olivia Pope's wardrobe again never fails our fashion taste buds! So I did a little research on that bomb ass winter white trench coat. Found out it's from Burberry dolls! I just LOVE this coat! Man, if I only had $1,700 to spend on a coat it would be all mine! But I don't so I guess a girl can dream, right ;-) Peace OUT... Burberry Prosum Duchess Trench Coat Scandal's Olivia Pope Season 3 Pictures courtesy of Instagram. These are not my photos. Over the weekend I had a little private magazine party (and in private I mean me, myself and I. You know the whole gang!). A magazine party in my terms is just gathering all of your current favorite magazines and reading them! I know, I know I sound like a nerd but I can't help it I LOVE TO READ! Hey what can I say I'm a licensed teacher. Any who I came across a good money saving article about shopping, HALLELUJAH! Some of the tips were familiar and few were new. So I thought I'd share them with ya! 1. Spend your money on versatile pieces. I have shared this tibid of information with many people. Don't spend tons of money on a trendy item that will be out of style next season. Instead invest in pieces that will remain timeless. For example a leather mini or pencil skirt and for the gents a leather bomber jacket. 2. Befriend a salesperson. This makes sense! I remember in my retail management days there was always that customer that was super friendly and likable! I would always go the extra mile for that person. This tip comes in handy at your favorite store! 3. Women don't be afraid of the men's department. In this androgynous day of age men clothes are just as hot on women as they are on men! Personally I have thrifted many men's oxfords (button-ups). They just fit better. Sometimes the women oxfords are too tight or too short. The best tip, go for what fits and looks good. Ignore the department. 4. Listen to MUSIC I do this often when I'm thrifting alone. Mark Ellwood, author of "Bargain Fever" stated that soothing music is a kind of vaccine against reckless spending. He believes it can change your mind set and help you make better decisions when you're inside a store. 5. DO NOT try on things you CANNOT afford Just keep it moving! If you try it on and it's fly or fabulous you are going to feel like you can't live without it. Somehow you start to ask "where have you been all my life" and the answer is "out of your budget". Until next time Peace OUT... |
