Let's start this Black History Month off right! I wanted to celebrate beautiful women of color with fabulous style. I hope this act will encourage people to learn more about these beautiful women of color. I did a post a few months ago on Phylicia Rashad and Debbie Allen. So I felt the need to pick up on where I left off. Our first star is Ms. Diahann Carroll. She is simply stunning! I love the respect she claims every time she walks into a room. She has graced our presence on television since the 60s. In 1968, Diahann Carroll became the first Black-American actress in television history to star in her own series, "Julia" for NBC, which soared to the top of the Nielsen rating and received an Emmy nomination in its first year of airing. For more information about Ms. Carroll and her career visit her website by clicking on the link below. Classic! Ms. Carroll and President John F. Kennedy She favors Whittney Houston in this picture to me. Yeeeessss! Dynasty. Although I don't remember any episodes I do remember she was FABULOUS! Stay THRIFTY!!
